29 Faces Challenge - Face #11

Gave the three-quarter view a try. The usual places, the nose and mouth, gave me trouble. I'm hoping more practice will help. Suggestions are welcome.

  1. Love the different faces you have been making! That guy in the previous post is wonderful! And your three-quarter-face is looking great too!

    1. I've noticed that there are some things in my drawings that make them look similar. I guess that's my style. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for taking time to visit and comment. It is appreciated.

  4. I don't have any suggestions, the only thing to do is to practice and practice. And not to lose your own style like Kikka said in her comment. The hair is beautifully done and I like the delicate neck line.

    1. I know all about the results of practice. I first decided to draw faces in 2011. The first ones I did are laughable. When I get frustrated, I dig out the old journals and look at them. It is amazing how far I have come. But the eyes, which I think is the key to my "style", are still very similar. Thank you for your compliments and for taking time to visit.

  5. Practice is the best thing...you are well on your way! I think the 3/4 view is the hardest...there are some good tutorials and lessons online that give instructions for the proportions of a face. check them out, and enjoy the journey! well done!

  6. I agree the three-quarter view is the most difficult, but I think it is the most interesting. I shall keep practicing. Thanks for visiting.
